Baltimore County almost completely surrounds the city of Baltimore. It has 25 paid stations, and 35 volunteer stations.
Towson MD is the county seat for Baltimore County, hence, almost everything for the county is located here.
The headquarters for both the fire and police departments is in the Public Safety Headquarters Building at 700 East Joppa Road, in a very "one of a kind" glass/mirrored building that sports a bright red building for the mechanical facilities.
The 911 center is in the basement of the "new" courthouse building in the middle of Towson. And yes, it is next door to the "old" courthouse building :-)
If you're listening in, all communications is on a 800MHz trunked system, however, the fire department still sends outs alerts on 46.46.
