Description: Belen NM is located 30 miles south of Albuquerque and 25 miles northwest of Abo Canyon and is
considered ‘the Heart’ of the BNSF Transcon. The area of Belen proper is bounded on the south by El Paso Junction
and on the north by Belen Junction. In between is a yard stretching 3 miles with stations, rail shops and fuel racks.
Some of the interesting stuff can be seen from the sidewalks on Reinken Ave. The New Mexico Rail Runner Express
commuter service also serves Belen and extends north through Albuquerque to Santa Fe NM
