Description: Galesburg, Illinois is located in Northwest Illinois. Galesburg is a railroad town with a large rail yard and
major East-West main lines and a rich history for both the Santa Fe and Burlington railroads.  The Galesburg Railroad
Museum is located right next to the modern Amtrak Station (N 40.9449, W 90.3644) and is a good place to watch
trains.  Another spot to watch trains is from top of the bridge on CR 10 (N 40.91753, W 90.37953). There are
wide shoulders on the bridge with plenty of room for railfans to park, exit their cars and take photographs. A common
railfan location is at Peck Park with the best entrance off North St. (GPS: N 40.95107, W 90.35713)  Galesburg
hosts the Galesburg Railroad Days every year towards the later part of June.
