The Scoop:
This page is my attempt at recovering some of the "lost" pages of information
that have come and gone over the years. Courtesy
The Wayback
Machine website , which archives almost everything out there, I've
been able to recreate most of the page that existed for the "kinglyheirs"
page for Cedar Hill Yard - he did an excellent job.
If the page has just moved to another location, someone please let me know, I will delete this page.
I have taken what I have deemed significant tidbits of information from the
original page, as the author also used the page to promote his business
interests which are of no interest or value for us here. There were also a whole
slew of links to other pages he and others had at the time (most of which are
no longer active) - so none of the links in the "info boxes" are
"clickable", as I used a screen capture program to take shots of the many info
boxes he had on the page..... besides, JPEGS are just so much easier to manage
than the underlying HTML coding. :-)
I've also tried to retain the original "feel" of the page, however, I did do
away with the blue background. I have edited some of the info boxes
where it didn't affect the information originally presented, for instance,
in picture x501, I removed a link to another page that no longer exists.
Everything below is original from the kingsleyheirs page, except for the
addition of the current aerial and USGS map.

When you clicked on this picture, it took you to a page of pictures the author had taken over the years.
What I have been able to recover can be seen below.....
Kelly's Lead - looking south. We entered the yard on the track on the left, Kelly's lead.
The Grove - looking north toward the AMTRAK Springfield Line connection.
Standing on the Double Zero Lead (track 600) looking south. The locomotives (Conrail 88) are parked on the Short Runaround.
No credit is given on his page as to the source of this map... could be Conrail's, could be someone else's...
Typical FORM D's from when the author worked at Cedar Hill Yard, too bad he
didn't have a New Haven one....
